Ukrainian mechanics convert Russian rally cars into battle-ready combat cars

Mechanics in Ukraine’s southeastern city of Zaporizhia are turning former rally racing cars into stripped-down, armour-plated combat vehicles as Russia’s invasion pushes closer. The “combat buggies” were built from a Russian-made Lada Samara, a compact car popularly used on the local rally racing circuit. The vehicle’s creators hope the cars can give Ukrainian troops an edge in the war against advancing Russian forces.
