Russia promises to open sea route for Ukrainian wheat, says Indonesian president

Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s peace mission to Ukraine and Russia continued on June 30, 2022, with a trip to Moscow, where Widodo hand-delivered a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Widodo and Putin also discussed the ongoing global food crisis, with Putin agreeing to send fertiliser to Indonesia. He also promised to open a sea route for Ukrainian wheat exports, according to Indonesian officials.
