Clowns bring smiles to Palestinian children traumatised by deadly Gaza violence

Volunteers dressed up as clowns to try and bring some cheer to Palestinian children in Rafah on August 9, 2022, after three days of violence in the city in southern Gaza. At least 15 children were among the 44 Palestinians killed during the conflict involving Israeli air strikes and rockets fired by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad over three days beginning August 5. An Egypt-brokered ceasefire ended the violence on August 8.
