Xi and Biden begin face-to-face meeting ahead of G20 summit

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Joe Biden began their first in-person talks since Biden became president, on the Indonesian island of Bali ahead of a Group of 20 (G20) summit on November 15, 2022. Both leaders stressed the need for “mutual cooperation” especially over matters of global interest.
