Syrian toddler pulled alive from debris in Turkey after quakes kill her mother and siblings
Rescuers pulled a toddler alive from debris after a deadly earthquake levelled her home in the northwestern Syrian city of Azaz early in the morning of February 6, 2023. Eighteen-month-old Raghad lost her pregnant mother and siblings in the 7.8-magnitude quake that has been blamed for thousands of deaths so far and was felt in at least four countries, including Turkey. The epicentre of the initial quake and a powerful aftershock hours later were recorded in southern Turkey, near the northern border of Syria.
