Turkey-Syria earthquake: Mass burials held as death toll continues to rise

Mass burials were held in Turkey and Syria on February 9, 2023, as the death toll from a massive earthquake that struck the two countries on February 6 continues to rise. At least 21,000 people were confirmed killed by the magnitude 7.8 quake according to figures from the two countries as of the morning of February 10.
