Teen rescued in Turkey after spending 198 hours trapped under earthquake rubble

Seventeen-year-old Muhammed Enes Yeninar was freed, along with his older brother, after spending 198 hours underneath the rubble of a building in Turkey’s Kahramanmaras province on February 14, 2023. Both were sent to hospital, where their conditions were unclear. The devastating February 6 earthquake so far has left more than 37,000 people dead in Turkey and Syria, and millions of others displaced during the frigid winter months.
