Nasa appoints new director for UFO research in response to US congressional report

Nasa has appointed a new director of research in charge of “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” (UAP). The agency said it would study UAP from a scientific perspective and transparently share its studies. After initially declining to name the person out of safety concerns, Nasa revealed Mark McInerney was the new UAP director. The appointment was in response to recommendations made by a Nasa-commissioned report.
