US bridge collapses in Baltimore after ship collision, leaving several people missing

Rescuers were searching for as many as 20 people after a major bridge collapsed in the US state of Maryland, plunging several vehicles into the water below. The accident in the city of Baltimore happened in the early hours of March 26, 2024. The Singapore-flagged cargo vessel Dali crashed into one of the supports of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing the roadway to break apart in several places as it plunged into the water.
