‘Extinct’ Elephant shrew seen again after 50 years

For the first time in nearly 50 years, a tiny species of elephant shrew called the Somali sengi, have been spotted in rocky areas of the Horn of Africa. These cute mammals have a trunk-like nose (hence the elephant in their name) which they use to probe for insects as food.
