Thai drug lord who used plastic surgery to become ‘handsome Korean’ arrested
- Saharat Sawangjaeng lived for three months as ‘Jimin Seong’ in a bid to evade capture for drug charges
- Police identified the 25-year-old, who imported ecstasy from Europe, as ‘one of the main causes of Bangkok’s MDMA epidemic’

Thai police have arrested a drug offender who evaded capture by assuming a new identity with the aid of plastic surgery that made him look “Korean”.
Saharat Sawangjaeng, 25, was arrested recently at a condominium in Bangkok after being charged with the import and possession of ecstasy, a class one drug, the Bangkok Post reported.
By then, he had spent three months with a dramatically different look and was known as Jimin Seong.

Police tracked down Saharat by tracing the sale and distribution of ecstasy in the streets of Bangkok, where they closed in on a lead whom witnesses described as a “handsome Korean man”.
Officers said “none of his original face was left”.
During the raid at the apartment in Bang Na district, two mobile phones and 22 other items were seized, the Bangkok Post reported.
