Thai police have arrested a drug offender who evaded capture by assuming a new identity with the aid of plastic surgery that made him look “Korean”.

Saharat Sawangjaeng, 25, was arrested recently at a condominium in Bangkok after being charged with the import and possession of ecstasy, a class one drug, the Bangkok Post reported.

By then, he had spent three months with a dramatically different look and was known as Jimin Seong.

Police tracked down Saharat by tracing the sale and distribution of ecstasy in the streets of Bangkok, where they closed in on a lead whom witnesses described as a “handsome Korean man”.
