British actor Stephen Fry is the latest actor to take part in reading J. K. Rowling’s first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (or Sorcerer’s Stone as it is known in the US) online.

Chapter 4 is where the adventure really kicks off, and we are introduced to very important character, and Harry finally leaves the cruelty and prison-like circumstances of 4 Privet Drive behind.

You can listen to the chapter here:

Fry, who is famous for hosting quiz show Q.I., and his roles in The Hobbit and the Sherlock Holmes movies, is no stranger to reading the tales of Hogwarts aloud. He lent his voice to all seven audiobook versions of the series.

The reading is part of the #HarryPotterAtHome campaign launched by Rowling on the Wizarding World website, an effort to make self-isolation and the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic a little more magical. Bonus: listening to the stories is a great way to practise your English.
