Marty McFly goes back in time ... to go back to school. One of the best time travel/high school comedies of all time, you’ll have lots of fun seeing Marty make everything better in the past by being cool, slick and fly. What a guy.


This Japanese film follows the story of Naho, a 16-year-old student who finds a letter written by a version of herself 10 years in the future. The film is about friendship, and how true friends are the ones who accept us for who we are without question.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Part of the Marvel superhero movie universe, Peter Parker has to go back to school after playing a part in world-shaking events as a hero. Going back to school after that has gotta be boring.

10 Things I Hate About You

Based on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, this 90s adaptation set at high school is just perfect. The cast, the outfits, the strong female characters and the believable love story make it a film you’ll come back to all the time.


A marvellous film that tugs on the heartstrings. It’s great to see Auggie’s growth, and watch him make friends, and it sends a really sweet message about compassion and friendship.

Hoop Dreams

This high school sports movie about two students, William Gates and Arthur Agee, and their dreams of becoming professional basketball players, will motivate you to push through any obstacles to achieve your goals.

Dead Poets Society

This is not a lovey-dovey type of back-to-school movie, but it’s one of those that will leave an impact on your life as a student. This movie will make you rethink education and reflect on the purpose of learning. It tells you to go beyond the limitations set by the society, and that we should strive to find our own voice and make our own choices.
