Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have finally made peace after years of rumored feuding.

Behold, a joyous miracle happened today! The long-standing feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift has ended with a literal olive branch.

While getting ready for the first show of her Reputation World Tour in Phoenix, USA, Swift posted an Instagram story that showed an olive branch - a symbol of peace - inside a gift box sent to her with a note from Perry.

For anyone who pauses the IG story in the right place, they'll see the note begins with, “Hello, old friend ... I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hard feelings between us.” Also, further down were the words, “I’m deeply sorry”.

“I just went to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch,” Swift says in the video. “This means so much to me", and adds a heart emoji and "Thank you, Katy" in her post.

The feud between the pop icons has been long and widely-publicised. Specualtion first began when Swift released Bad Blood, a single off her 2014 album 1989, and told magazine Rolling Stone it was about another female artist.

Perry then released the diss track Swish Swish, which fans believe is about Swift, last year.

During a segment on US talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden, Perry discussed the feud.

“There’s a situation,” Perry told Corden. “Honestly, it’s really like, she started it and it’s time for her to finish it.”

Perry confirmed that a clash over backup dancers was the long-rumored caused of the falling out.

“It’s so crazy,” Perry said. “I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.”

Now, however, it seems the stars have made peace. Finally.
