With Easter just around the corner, there's not much time left to shop for sweet treats for your friends and family. To save you the trouble of looking around, the Young Post team and some YP Junior Reporters' Club members tried a range of Easter eggs, comparing their tastes, packaging and prices.

Compiled by Zoe Mak. Special thanks to our junior judges: Eunice Li, Resa Ng, Elise Choi, Dorothy Yim and Heyna Wong

Arome Bakery Easter egg pack

(HK$15 with any purchase)

Although you get a palm-sized chocolate bunny and two eggs at a great price, you cannot taste the chocolate. The bunny and the eggs are sweet, but that's about it. The packaging is a bit boring too.

YP rating: 2/5

Leonidas Easter egg pack (HK$100)

The packaging is quite boring, but the quality of the chocolate is superb. Each brightly coloured egg has a different filling, including praline, nut and strawberry. This is the perfect gift for those who love surprises, but may not be the best choice for those who prefer life to be a box of milk or dark chocolate.

YP rating: 4/5

Queen's Konditorei Easter egg pack (HK$40)

The price is reasonable and the packaging is cute, although it's a bit old-fashioned. The eggs are sweet but you can't taste much chocolate.

YP rating: 3/5

Agnes b. Delices Oeuf de Paques (HK$190)

This is one of those huge Easter eggs that will drive chocolate lovers crazy. The dark chocolate is rich and creamy, and the gold logo printed on it makes it stand out from foil-wrapped eggs. It's quite hard to break into pieces, though, and expensive.

YP rating: 4/5

Marks and Spencer Easter foiled egg tray with 6 pieces (HK$45)

The packaging is creative and attractive. The milk chocolate is creamy and rich, but it can be a bit too sweet for some people.

YP rating: 4/5

Lucullus Easter Egg Gift Tray with 8 pieces (HK$69)

Although the eggs are made from simple milk chocolate, they have a nice cocoa flavour and are very smooth. The cute eggs, the eco-friendly packaging, and a bargain price make this a top choice.
