Marvel Entertainment has delivered a wonderful gift this holiday season in the form of a new action mobile app developed by Kabam. The app is free - yes, free! Merry Christmas! - to download and is available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices.
You can build and manage a team of heroes and villains taken right from the pages of your favourite Marvel comic books. Along the way you can level up and boost your character's stats, making them more powerful so you can deal with ever stronger foes.
Battles go down in iconic locations from the Marvel universe, including Avengers Tower, the Asgardian Bifrost, and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier.
You start with a possible 25 characters, and each one you unlock has unique traits, abilities, and special moves, allowing you to strategically customise your team.
So who can you get on your team? There's the Amazing Spider-Man for a start, along with three members of The Guardians of the Galaxy: Star Lord, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer. Don't forget about Iron Man, Captain America, and more.
The single-player mode has a unique storyline from Marvel Comics writer Sam Humphries, or you can battle against your friends online in PvP mode.
