Love, romance, comedy and tragedy are the staples of a great drama script, and all of these can be found in the new anime Kimi no Iru Machi (A Town Where You Live).

The story revolves around a couple of high school students, Haruto Kirishima and Yuzuki Eba, who meet and, of course, fall in love with each other. But love is never straightforward in manga or anime, and the couple must endure several hardships before they find their "happily ever after".

Yuzuki is a carefree, spirited city girl; Haruto is a shy country boy. The two meet when Yuzuki moves from Tokyo to Hiroshima after some problems at home, and moves in with Haruto's family - their fathers are old friends. The two find themselves falling for one another, but Haruto also likes another girl at school; his indecision leads to Yuzuki returning to Tokyo.

Haruto eventually sorts out his feelings, and persuades his parents to let him move to Tokyo under the pretext of realising his dream to become a chef. But really, of course, his goal to find Yuzuki, who has been avoiding him.

The anime is based upon the manga of the same name by Kouji Seo, who also created and wrote the manga/anime Suzuka.

Tune in to find out what hurdles the pair face next in the 10 episodes still to come.
