Classes at all schools will remain suspended on Monday, the Education Bureau announced at 12.20pm today.
"Although roads and public transport services in the territory have gradually resumed, there are still uncertain factors," stated the government's press release. Another factor in their consideration was Monday being the first working day after an eventful weekend.
Schools will remain open for parents who need to send their children to school.
The Education Bureau once again reminded students not to wander the streets or visit areas that might potentially be dangerous. It also added that students should not participate in unlawful activities.
"All parties should immediately put a halt to all violent and destructive activities so that students can return to their normal school life," the statement read. "If the situation allows, schools may resume classes on Tuesday (November 19) at the earliest."
