20 scholarships with a value of HK$200,000 each offered to vaccinated Hong Kong youngsters
-
The lucky draw is open to students between 12-18 years old who get at least one jab before 30 September

With September fast approaching, it is the time of year when students are preparing to return to school. Under the current COVID-19 situation, the Hong Kong government announced that the resumption of full-day school is only possible if a school has a student vaccination rate of 70% or more.
To facilitate students in resuming normal school lives and activities and encourage them to play a part in contributing to protecting the community, Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sino Group, has specially offered 20 scholarships with a value of HK$200,000 each to youngsters aged 12 or above and below 18, who have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Hong Kong.
Why we need to be careful with the Delta variant
Eligibility
- Aged 12 or above and below 18
- Hold a valid Hong Kong identity card (Permanent Residents and Non-Permanent Residents)
- Have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Hong Kong on or before September 30, 2021
The scholarships will be made in the form of a pre-paid card or credit card issued to each winner’s parent or guardian. Any applicant must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian to participate in the lucky draw.
“Getting the younger generation to participate in the government’s ongoing programme is essential to achieving a higher overall vaccination rate for the community,” says Daryl Ng, director of Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation. “We hope that doing this can also facilitate the resumption of full-day classes at schools in a safe and healthy environment.”
