How far would you go to see your favourite boyband? This week’s question: If you could go on a date with a member of the boy band Mirror, who would you choose, and what questions would you ask?
I would choose to go on a date with Anson Lo Hon-ting because he is the most handsome Mirror member. I would want to ask, if he had to choose between singing and acting, which would he choose to continue? I know he enjoys both forms of entertainment because he sings as a part of Mirror, and he starred in the TV drama Ossan’s Love.
Also, I want to know what future dramas he would want to act in, since this is something many of his fans will want to know as well. Although he was quite funny in his most recent performance, I hope his next series will be even better.

I would want to go on a date with Yeung Lok-man, the leader of Mirror. It is due to his great relationships with the other team members that he has the potential to lead them.
In 2020, Mirror went through a low period in which the members were having trouble working together. But Yeung eventually led his companions to success, so I want to ask about how he helped the boy band overcome its problems and change its situation. I also want to know what is Mirror’s biggest challenge now and how he will try to fix it.

If I could go on a date with a member of Mirror, I would not choose any of them. It is because I know none of the members, and I don’t think I would enjoy going on a date with a stranger.
However, if I could change this question to be about going on a date with someone who doesn’t know me, even though I know him, I would choose Alkaid Lu Chen, a character of a video game. Yes, he is virtual, but I wouldn’t mind going on a date with him in the game.

Keung To, without a doubt.I would love to ask him why he joined the entertainment industry in the first place, and I want to know whether he has made any sacrifices in achieving his success.
I always wonder whether there is a sad story behind an idol’s rise to fame – after all, people always say “no pain, no gain”. I want to hear about the true story behind the success of this popular star and about his dreams for the next stage of his life.
Kary Wong Ka-yu, 13, Catholic Ming Yuen Secondary School
For the date, I would choose Edan Lui, and I would ask him how he keeps up his confident and positive outlook. Not only is he cheerful and delightful, but he also works very hard as a part of Mirror.
Besides singing and dancing on stage, he also had an outstanding performance in the TV drama, Ossan’s Love, in which he plays a character who makes a leap of faith and inspires others around him. He devoted a great deal of his time and effort to acting in this series.
I want to know what inspires him to work so hard while also having such a positive attitude.

To be honest, I don’t want a date with any of them because Mirror is not my cup of tea. However, I would want to tell Keung To and the rest of the boy band to be more creative, instead of replicating K-pop’s style. Mirror should try to develop a Hong Kong style for their songs and music videos.

If I could go on a date with a member of Mirror, I would choose Frankie Chan Sui-fai because he is such a good dancer and rapper – and he is handsome.
But I could easily lose count of all the questions I want to ask him. I would ask when the next album might be released. As a fan, I can’t wait to listen to every new song and watch every music video.
What plans does he have for the future? I want to know more about how I can support him to achieve his goals. I hope I can do my part to help one of my favourite idols.
