These days, there are countless apps that allow us to share pictures, messages, and funny videos. If you ask me, it seems like the current social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, are going out of fashion.

I think we could use an app that incorporates all the features of existing social media platforms and more. I would call it FullApp. It would be a combination of all the features we love on Instagram, Skype, TikTok, and Reddit. I would include a random video chat feature that allows you to meet people nearby with common interests. It would have the most advanced HD voice and video calling services, because no user should deal with a poor connection.

When users walk out on the streets with the app turned on, FullApp would connect with Google Maps so people could connect with the places they visit and check in to them. What’s more, FullApp would allow users to easily find, connect, and communicate with friends from school and college. I want my app to be fun to use and make socialising easier.

Contestant 2

I would create a new social media platform that would allow people to experience whatever the person on the other end wants to share.

For example, if someone sent you a video of their trip to the Great Wall of China, the video would be projected in 3D in front of you, so the viewer could feel like they were there, too. The app would immerse the viewer in a 360 degree hologram, and it would be called Hologram Connection.

The functions on the app would also be useful to companies that want to promote their business, and allow people to virtually try out their products. Seeing how quickly our world’s technology is advancing, I believe it is possible for this platform to be created.

Contestant 3

I would love to create a global platform named Examemes aimed at students studying for their annual exams and tests. The app would allow them to discuss upcoming exams, revision techniques, and share memes. They could share all sorts of fun things, from the struggles of being a student, to the pains of revision, to funny teacher memes.

Students wouldn’t have to worry about getting in trouble with teachers because only verified students would be able to sign up. I think the app would be great for teens who want to help their fellow classmates get through stressful times.

The app would also contain useful links to websites that could help students with revision, or even fun, educational sites like Young Post. Finally, the app would have a time limit to stop us from getting distracted and procrastinating for too long.

Contestant 4

I think social media platforms are popular these days because they allow users to share their lives with others, and yet the socialising part of these platforms like Facebook and Instagram still seem to be limited by a screen barrier.

I would develop an app called Gang Up which would allow users to create and join various “tribes”, which gather people with common interests together. Tribe members would be
able to then sign up to do real-life activities together, and freely discuss topics.

What would make Gang Up different from other platforms is that it would encourage users to develop new hobbies and meet people from different backgrounds. My app wouldn’t bombard you with info you’re not interested in, but it would invite you to learn more about the different “tribes” in your area that you can join. Gang Up would be less about posting and sharing, and more about connecting people
and bringing us back to reality.
