This Mother's Day, give your mum the gift of poetry to show her your love.

I close my eyes, it is dark,

My frozen heart is full of scars and threats,

It makes me shiver and cold.

Pieces of ice are pierced in my heart,

It is painful and stuck,

I can no longer stand up and fight for it.

I close my eyes, asking myself,

Have you ever thought of why you are sitting here?

Have you ever thought of why you can go over all the difficulties?

Have you ever thought of why you are happy everyday?

I close my eyes, thinking about it.

Mother brings me a cup of warm water.

I have a sip of it.

Although I just had one sip, it melts all my sorrow.

Just like mother, giving us warmth, hugging us when we are down.

I close my eyes, feeling the love,

A cup of warm water does not mean a lot,

When you have soft drinks and juice,

But when there is nothing to drink,

The warm water means a lot to you.

I close my eyes, delving in thought,

Soft drinks and juice are like friends,

They support you and play with you,

But who knows you the most?

Mother. Warm water is like mother,

It seems dull but you need it everyday,

Similarly, you need your mother’s love everyday.

I open my eyes, I realise it,

I sit down next to my mother,

And give her a warm hug,

And Wish her a Happy Mother’s Day!
