“Out of her favour, where I am in love.”

Never had I thought about being Romeo.

But star-crossed lovers we were not.

No, it was far from that.

You fell for him instead.

“How should I text him? What’s his favourite book?”

He was all that you would talk about. You were hooked.

“Forget about him. I love you. Be my girlfriend.”

But my rationality halted my utterance of such nonsense.

“Best friends” was the limit. Wanting more was a taboo.

Alas, I had to assist you in your pursuit of true love.

With the price of my broken heart.
