Brain Game is a competition in which we start with 10 participants who must answer a question as creatively as they can every week. Based on your votes, we eliminate one contestant each round until we have a winner.

Last week, the votes were tied, so we decided not to eliminate anyone. As a result, we have extended the competition by one more week.

Contestant 1

I want to have an extra brain. Why? Because then I could multitask way more easily. I could do two homework assignments at the same time. I could calculate two maths questions at once during exams. I could even be twice as creative in my writing. Actually ... maybe I could even have three brains – I would be even more efficient. But then, how would my head look?

Contestant 2

On my back, I would like to have a pair of wings made of glimmering white feathers. I would look like an angel from heaven. With my wings, I would travel over the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and fly over all the continents. I want to be free from anxiety. I could also bring hope by helping Santa Claus deliver presents to children around the world.

Contestant 3

Have you ever choked on a mouthful of water at a swimming pool? If we had gills, we wouldn’t have that awful sensation ever again. No one would drown, and we wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to swim, whether at a party or for survival.

Also, more than 80 per cent of our oceans are unexplored. With gills, our exploration wouldn’t be limited by our need for oxygen, and we could discover hidden gems under the sea. Thus, I would choose to add gills to benefit humanity.

Contestant 4

I would like to have five extra eyes, and I would put them all around my head. The eyes would be rainbow-coloured with strong eyesight to see far away without the help of glasses. Eyes are for looking at stuff every day, so they are very important for us. With extra eyes, I would be able to see everything around me without turning my head. I could protect myself from creeps who want to hurt me and stop pranksters and bullies.

Contestant 5

As my extra body part, I would add another brain. It would help me be smarter in all my classes from maths, to Chinese and Christian ethics. I would be so smart that I could teach anything to people younger or older than me – even you! Having another brain would also make me more caring.

I would have a better chance of getting a good job in the future, and I could use the money to help those in need. The brain is the most meaningful body part we could ever ask for.

Contestant 6

As weird as it might be, I think having an extra eye would be awesome. At the moment, humans are limited to 180 degrees of peripheral vision, allowing us to look only at what is in front of us. We are oblivious to the things behind us.

With my extra eye, it would be as if the saying, “eyes at the back of your head”, came to life. Playing competitive sports would be so much easier knowing who’s coming for me and what’s happening behind me without turning my head. In general, it could help me be less clumsy and be more aware and alert.

Contestant 7

I would add an extra pair of eyes under my original ones to avoid accidents. Nowadays, people are always using their mobile phones – even when they are walking. Because of this, they often lose focus on the things happening around them while they stare at their phone screens. This causes accidents like tripping or bumping into others.

My extra pair of eyes would be used to look at my mobile phone while my original eyes would be used to observe what happens around me.

Contestant 8

I would add two extra hands to multitask. People often complain about not having enough time, but I think the real problem is that they fail to manage their time well.

An extra pair of hands could allow someone to multitask by writing two essays at the same time, washing dishes while cooking, and doing homework and eating simultaneously. It would be helpful for people who have poor time management skills because they would be able to finish their work on time.

Contestant 9

I’d like to have two extra arms. Many of the trousers I own don’t have large pockets, and I carry a lot of stuff with me, for example my wallet, phone and stationery. Having extra arms would help me do a lot more things.

I could hold more things and write with my other right hand when my original one gets tired. It could also make my dancing so much cooler, as I would be able to use more hand movements and try new tricks with my extra arms.
