Read through the responses to this week’s Brain Game prompt, and choose which answer you like most. Based on your votes and YP Editors’ picks, we will eliminate one contestant from the competition.

Contestant 1

A show that features children who are addicted to electronic devices. Nowadays, many kids are glued to their phones and seldom leave home to appreciate the natural scenery. Therefore, the participants in my reality show will be sent to a camp in a country park for seven days.

There will be no electronic devices for them to play with, only things like ropes and tyres to create their own toys. The hosts will teach the participants how to cook and keep an eye on them to prevent them from escaping.

I hope the show can help the children shake off their addiction and remind viewers to spend less time on electronic devices.

Contestant 2

Escape room challenge: Trapped in YOUR Home! There will be two teams, each comprising three international stars, three non-entertainment sector celebrities and four members of the public.

Taking place in the opposing team’s homes, the show will capture the participants’ true colours as they use teamwork to solve nerve-racking riddles about sustainable living to win the grand prize: lifetime access to a world-famous, zero-carbon resort.

Reality shows often invade participants’ privacy to arouse public interest, but this one is different. Although their homes are featured, the key is emphasising sustainability and income disparity – can you imagine solving puzzles in places ranging from a 60,000-square-foot mansion to a 150-square-foot flat?

Contestant 3

A reality show called A Day in the Life of ... would feature a celebrity guest every month and document an average day in their lives. The guests could range from American businessman and philanthropist Warren Buffett to YouTubers like TommyInnit and actresses like Jenna Ortega who starred in the hit Netflix series Wednesday.

Hopefully, the show would allow the audience to have a glimpse of what it’s like to be wealthy and famous. It could also help introduce the guests to people who might not have heard about them before.

Contestant 4

Have you ever wondered about the lives of astronauts? A new reality show named ASTRONAUTS! will be very popular among viewers.

There will be a one-hour episode every week, with the show featuring 30 potential astronauts selected by the US space agency Nasa. The selection procedure, including tests on their knowledge of physics and astronomy as well as physical fitness, will be featured in the show. Unexpected incidents in space will be simulated to test the potential astronauts’ ability to deal with such problems.

Eventually three astronauts would be chosen to go on a short mission to space. Doesn’t this reality show sound thrilling?

Contestant 5

A show about people from different gender-dominated occupations switching jobs. For instance, more women are involved in nursing and childcare while most plumbers and pilots are men. But what if they swapped jobs?

Of course, they wouldn’t be put in serious situations, like flying an actual plane or trying to rescue someone in danger. Instead, they would try driving a car with the same controls as an aeroplane or role-playing real-life nurses. Hopefully, the show can let viewers meet people from all walks of life and see how they contribute to society as well as dispel their stereotypes on gender and occupation.

Contestant 6

A show called My Life in Words invites people to journal their lives. The show will randomly invite people of diverse backgrounds to sit in front of a computer and write a story about their lives.

They have to do it within a week, and the story would be evaluated by the audience. The writer with the highest number of votes will sign a contract with a publishing company and have the chance to become an author.

I hope the show will remind people to not judge a person by their appearance but to listen to their real-life stories before expressing their opinions.

Contestant 7

A home decorating competition. Every week, two families will be invited to revamp their homes with a limited budget. Interior designers will assess the work daily, and by the end of the week, the family with the most points will win a beautiful villa and a set of housekeeping appliances.

For those who are interested in interior design or wish to revamp their homes, the show will offer an opportunity and encourage them to spend their money wisely. Not only would it be entertaining, it would also inspire viewers to clean up and decorate their homes nicely.
