It's university, not life or death
University decisions are not the be-all and end-all of life. So sit back, and relax. After all, it's that time of the year again.

In the following weeks, tens of thousands of students around the world - including some of Young Post's op-ed writers - will sit behind their computers, anxiously waiting for the most important letter of their lives. It's that dreaded, but all-important, reply from university.
As that day approaches, online forums such as The Student Room and College Confidential are bursting with posts from frantic students swapping information. Does applying for financial aid affect my chances to enter university? When will we receive our letters? And - perhaps worst of all - what if I don't get in?
In Hong Kong, that competitive atmosphere is even more evident, especially considering the huge workload and high goals that many of us set ourselves.
Does this extreme pressure help our development? Some would say so. Pressure, stress and disappointment are all realities that we have to face in our lives. We have to learn to deal with it.
However, I believe we are subjected to an unhealthy amount of pressure during this period. We forget to live and enjoy the moments of our last year in high school.
