Call me Bird-Woman

Flying would be very helpful. I wouldn’t have to pay for transportation to go home or even to go overseas! Flying around the city, going places I wouldn’t normally go would be a great way to see the world from a different angle. And of course I could visit my friends and relatives more often. I could also help people in need, and save cats from trees, like a fireman. With this fantastic super power, I could be the next superhero.

The power to get it done

I’d like the super power to be able to juggle homework, lessons, clubs, and more. Good time management is always a hard thing; it’s tough to show up on time, and resist the temptation to just stay in bed playing on your phone! I think that whoever makes it through secondary school is already a superhero.

Here I am

I’d love to be able to apparate, or appear wherever I wanted. I could wake up at the minute the bell rings and get to school within a few seconds, and it would save me so much money on transportation. What’s not to love?

I’d choose the ability to conjure up food and eat it without anyone noticing (and without any gum pain for those with braces, AKA me). How useful would that be during class? You could eat a ton of sushi without anyone noticing! Imagine how easy it would be to eat bubblegum; without sharing it (finally)! And there’d never be a last piece! You could even eat breakfast all day every day without being judged.

Total recall

So many of my problems could be solved if I had a photographic memory. Think back to the times you had to memorise all the ancient Chinese passages.

Don’t call me uncle, man!

If I were a superhero, I would like to be Ant-Man. I could wear a nice suit and shrink myself so small that my enemies wouldn’t even see me. Plus, riding on a flying ant and working with these insects would be a bizarre experience.

Gordon Wu, 16, Tak Sun Secondary School

From A to B, instantly

Definitely teleportation! It is much more useful than other super powers. Life as a student is so busy and hectic, because we are always rushing off to school, tutorials, music lessons, and more. With the power of teleportation, we can save a lot of time and get more rest! And it would be better for the environment!

Never say: ‘Die’

My super power would be immortality. If I could live forever, I could use my “whole” life to help others during natural disasters, since I would not be afraid of losing my life. I could also give all my money to those in need, because I would never have to buy new clothes or accessories. I would also make a great history professor, as I would know the whole of human history, since I have lived through all historical events.

Liu Yee-ting, 12, Immaculate Heart of Mary College

Fly like a bird

I live pretty far from my school, so it would be really convenient if could just fly there. I‘d also save a lot of money on bus fare, and protect the environment from more greenhouse gases. It’s great for me and for everyone.

Matthew Mak, 13, SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School

It rolls off your tongue

I would like to have the superpower of omnilingualism, where I could instantly learn, speak, and understand any language fluently. If I had this power, I could communicate with the locals effortlessly no matter where I travelled. Plus it could save me a lot of money: I want to learn French very much, but if I had this power, I wouldn’t need to pay for French lessons!
