What hair cut would you get if it would go back to normal the next day?

I’d like a hairdo that makes my hair look like a hat. Not only would it give me a very unique look, but it is also very practical in that it can block out the sun from my eyes and it won’t blow away in the wind. I just hope I won’t get too many weird looks from people on the street.

Since I was little, I’ve thought dreadlocks are drop-dead gorgeous. I think it’s very time-consuming to create dreadlocks, and I don’t know many places that can do them in Hong Kong. So if I could instantly change my hair for a day with magic, I’d definitely ask for dreads.

Top 10: Which animal would you add to the Chinese zodiac?

I’d try a Korean-style perm. I think curly hair would look cool. I’ve always wanted to look like a K-pop star, but if the style is too much for me to handle, no worries; it’ll just return to its original state the next day.

Kenny Lee, 16, Fung Kai No. 1 Secondary School

I think it’d be cool to have a beehive hairdo. I want all my hair to be piled up to create a conical shape that leans backwards a little. I think this hair style would definitely get me noticed!

Lee Chun-man, 12, Maryknoll Fathers’ School

I’d like to have a waterfall braid that goes around my head because I love half-up-half-down hairstyles. Normally, your hair will look a bit weird the next day, because half of it will be curly, and half will be straight. But with magic hair that will turn back to normal, I won’t have to worry about that.

Top 10: What do you want to learn or do in 2020?

I’d dye my hair seven different colours so it looks like a rainbow. I think it would look very beautiful and unique. I would only do this if my hair would go back to normal the next day, though.

Tina Wong, 16, Fung Kai No. 1 Secondary School

A lot of girls have long hair, but if I could have a crazy hairdo for one day, I’d shave all of mine off. I may get many stares on the street, and my classmates might talk about me, but that would show me who really likes me for who I am, and not what I look like. I think it’s important to remember that self-love and inner beauty is more important that outer beauty.

Tung Yan-nam, 16, STFA Leung Kau Kui College

I’d want hair like a unicorn’s – a long, flowy, sparkly blend of pastel colours. I think people on the street will think my hair is amazing.

Catherine Chan, 12, St Paul’s School (Lam Tin)

Which font suits your personality best?

I’d dye my hair baby pink and have it all twisted into dreadlocks. A lot of celebrities have been rocking this look, and it’s very popular these days. Normally, it would be very hard to get rid of dreadlocks, but since mine will magically go back to normal, I’ll have no problem. I will just enjoy my cool pink braids for a day and take a picture of myself that I can keep as a souvenir.

Chloe Huang, 18, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School

I secretly wish I could have a ponytail for a day. I’ve always wanted longer hair, but if I did, I would keep it in a short ponytail. It may not be the coolest or trendiest hairstyle, but at least it would be different from the norm.

Cyrus Chu, 17, St Louis School
