WEEKLY independent music event Radio Free Hong Kong has had more problems than the Rolling Stones of late in finding a suitable venue in the territory.
But they have finally gone one-up on 'Mick 'n Keef' in securing a new venue in the form of the Music Union in Tsim Sha Tsui every Tuesday night.
Next week Blue Garden, Cycle Riff and Ossuary are on the bill to provide the freshest sounds from Hong Kong's underground. Admission is $30, from 8.30pm.
Tonight: Georgie Fame just can't get enough of Hong Kong and is back in the Jazz Club for the umpteenth time. He's joined by trumpeting whiz Guy Barker, from 9.30pm.
Solo Showcase III happens again in the Music Union. This time the stage will be graced by Squinty Backbone, Mike Brosnan, Saffron Sumerfield, Ricky and May Ip. Admission is $20, from 8.30pm.
Malaysian singer Martin Kanu and his band will perform golden oldies 'in the park outside the Hong Kong Arts Centre' from 9pm.
