As a striking lookalike of her grandmother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Rose Schlossberg mixes classic elegance with modern style.

Growing up in New York City with parents Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, she’s no stranger to the limelight. Yet the eldest grandchild of John F. Kennedy and Jackie O appears to be opting for a more subdued public role than her siblings.

Her relative Robert F. Kennedy Jr – JFK’s nephew – is currently in the 2024 US presidential race as an Independent. He recently sparked outrage with his controversial Super Bowl ad.

Rose Schlossberg studied at NYU and Harvard

Beginning her education at Brearley, a distinguished all-girls private school in New York, Schlossberg, 35, then attended Harvard University, focusing on English and obtaining her bachelor’s degree in 2010.

But Schlossberg didn’t stop there. Eager to expand her knowledge, she advanced to New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where she studied communications. She earned her Master’s of Professional Studies by 2013.

During her time at Harvard, Schlossberg made headlines after reportedly giving actress Lindsay Lohan and musician Samantha Ronson a tour of the campus. The trio were later spotted partying it up at a nightclub in Boston, per The New York Post.

The striking resemblance between Schlossberg and her grandmother has captivated the public. When the actress co-launched her humorous YouTube miniseries End Time Girls Club, her similar facial features, elegance and poise, and even her choice of hairstyle were deemed reminiscent of Jackie’s classic look.

She works on both sides of the camera

When Schlossberg launched End Time Girls Club in 2016, three years after she graduated, the series showcased its co-creators’ talents both in front of and behind the camera.

Schlossberg has acting, writing and producing credits under her belt. She starred in indie film Houses and co-wrote the acclaimed documentary TV miniseries Time: The Kalief Browder Story.

She’s married to restaurateur Rory McAuliffe

Schlossberg tied the knot with restaurateur Rory McAuliffe in May 2022 at their US$1.2 million home in Ojai, California. The brides said their vows in the presence of 300 guests, including Maria Shriver, David Letterman, Jimmy Buffet and Jason Segel.

However, rumours swirled regarding family tension due to the Kennedys’ religious beliefs. Still, the attendance of close family – including Rose’s mother, Caroline – suggested strong family support.

From childhood, Schlossberg shared a unique bond with her grandmother, “Grand Jackie”, who was actively involved in her young granddaugher’s life – from reportedly chaperoning a school trip to hosting play dates at one of her homes.

Schlossberg was also close to her uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr, who died tragically in a plane crash when his niece was just 11.
