Sony - HX30V

This new Cyber-shot digital camera (HK$3,290) comes with Wi-fi connectivity, as well as GPS geotag to help track and log location details of photos. It has a 20x optical zoom, an 18.2 megapixel image sensor and an anti-shake function so you can take blur-free pictures and videos, even at a distance. A digital level gauge ensures the composition is aligned with the horizon. You can change the photo settings, apply effects and see the final image immediately on the LCD monitor. Available in black or brown.

Canon - IXUS 510 HS

Sharing, uploading or backing up of photographs is easy with this camera's built-in Wi-fi Wireless Transfer function. Images can be shared directly via your social networking sites and smart devices for back-up and easier image browsing and selection, as well as inter-device sharing with other IXUS cameras. It offers up to 12x zoom and is equipped with a 10.1-megapixel image sensor and a digital image processor. New additions include a face-identification function, which lets you assign a name and birthday information to up to 12 faces. Priced at HK$3,280, it comes in glossy black or matte white.

Nikon - D3200

With an optional wireless mobile adapter, images can be transferred to smartphones and tablets, while smart devices can also double as a control - of camera settings and live view display - for remote shooting. Equipped with a 24.2-megapixel image sensor, image-processing engine and an improved guide mode function. Priced at HK$5,440, it comes in red or black.
