Life's just one giant carnival for Marc by Marc Jacobs
The opening celebration of American fashion brand Marc by Marc Jacobs's new flagship store in Pacific Place on Wednesday was a joyous fair.
Designed by New York-based Jaklitsch/Gardner Architects, the 270-square-metre store was given a carnival theme for the occasion.
A moving merry-go-round adorned one side of the store, while games and sweets such as marshmallows and macaroons were served on the other end.
The invitation in golden print that guests received came with a cute giant carnival ticket in orange, which they could use to gain access to an instant photo booth and redeem two free tokens for a claw machine filled with different Marc by Marc Jacobs's accessories.
The store was filled with excitement and tension as guests managed - or failed - to fish out the capsules they wanted.
Other than adding colour to the ambience, a giant box filled with bubble gum also provided a quest for a guest to win a HK$20,000 cash voucher if they correctly guessed the number of pieces inside.
The box will stay in the shop for two weeks so that costumers can also try their luck.
