Frosty's Village
What is it and where can I get it?
Master mixologist Antonio Lai broke with convention with this edible reinterpretation of a Christmas cocktail. This rather adorable creation is served on a plate instead of a glass, and all the individual components are made with alcoholic ingredients. This charming dessert cocktail can be found at FINDS (2/F LKF Tower, 33 Wyndham Street, Central).
What's in it?
Marshmallow snowman
Jelly house
Shot of glogg wine
Bed of creamy snow
Frosty snowflakes
How is it made?
In addition to the gelatin, sugar and glucose needed to make the marshmallow, Antonio adds whisky for a slightly alcoholic snowman. Frosty's jelly house is made with espresso, vodka, amaretto and sugar, while the frosty snow flakes dotting the scene are a concoction of Bombay gin, lime, sugar and cream frozen with nitrogen - although simple icing sugar will work for an at-home version. The glogg wine tops off the usual wine, blackcurrant, orange ginger, cinnamon and clove combination with Antonio's specially prepared orange air.

White Christmas Martini
This is an ideal fruit martini which will put you in the festive spirit thanks to the drink's seasonal aroma, colours and taste
What is it and where can I get it?
A classic fruit martini given a festive makeover: the hint of cinnamon is reminiscent of log fires and Christmas pudding, the sugared glass evokes wintry scenes of snow and frost, and the raspberry and mint represent the key colours of Christmas. The amount of lemon juice and cinnamon used can be altered to taste. The drink is available at both Roxie (G/F 24-30 Ice House Street) and Volar (Basement, 38-44 D'Aguilar Street, Lan Kwai Fong) in Central.
What's in it?
2oz Belvedere Pure Vodka
1 1/2 oz Lychee Puree
Pinch fine sugar
Dash Lemon Juice
Pinch of Cinnamon
How is it made? Prepare the lychee puree by blending the fresh or tinned lychee with lemon juice and fine sugar, chill until nearly frozen. Wipe the outside of a martini glass with lime, and roll it in fine sugar. Add Belvedere vodka, lychee puree, cinnamon and cubed ice into a cocktail shaker, shake well and strain it into the chilled martini glass. For the garnish, thread two lychees on to a cocktail stick and stuff a raspberry into each. Rest a sprig of mint between the fruit. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
