Harry Winston - Midnight Automatic

It doesn't take bling to make your watch shine: with its sunray satin-brushed finish, the Midnight Automatic's (HK$183,600) pink champagne toned dial plays with light, producing a glittering polished face. In a rose gold case, the popped-up HW logo at 12 o'clock adds texture to the smooth dial while echoing the similar-sized date aperture at six o'clock. Also available in a white gold case paired with a grey dial and comes with a choice of brown or black alligator leather strap.

H Moser & Cie - Monard Marrone

This special variant of the Monard family (priced at HK$164,000) comes with a rose gold case and a chestnut brown dial or a white gold case and a dark brown dial. The hour appliqu?s and the sword-like hands - both with colour-appropriate cases - are given a diamond-polished finish on the rose gold case and three-dimensional cut on the white gold case. Wrapping up the design is the alligator leather strap in dark brown.

Paul Picot - Atelier Slate 42mm

This new limited-edition timepiece in a high-grade stainless steel case is a cool take on the rose gold version launched last year. Housed in the 42mm case is an original dial crafted from natural slate extracted from 300-million-year-old marine sediment and characterised by its edgy veined pattern. To reduce round pieces of delicate slate to a mere 0.6mm and to cut out the aperture at three o'clock and apply features takes time and effort - so much so that only 50 pieces have been produced. The classic fluted bezel adds layer to the puristic three-handed watch, which is fitted with a Louisiana leather strap. (Inquiries: 3180 3280)
