Taking inspiration from the Memovox Deep Sea - the brand's iconic diver's watch created in the 1950s - this new water-resistant model has a similar design including a 40.5mm case, a classic black dial and a frogman engraving on the case back. But it excels by housing the latest self-manufactured Calibre 751G for higher endurance and reliability. Instead of a luminescent coating, a more effective Super-LumiNova coating with an orange-tinted shade is applied on the hour markers and the hands for optimal viewing in the dark. This simplistic timepiece powered by a quartz movement has an informative yet neat dial design, which is enhanced by the sun-brushed and circular finishing. The 30-minute and 60-second counters are placed at 10 and 2 o'clock respectively, leaving room for the moon display disc at 6 o'clock. The date is indicated by a small window at 4 o'clock. The 40mm stainless steel case comes in a choice of three dials - silver, black or silver-tone, with gold plated markers and hands - and can be fitted with a leather strap in black or brown or a stainless steel bracelet. This timepiece houses the Swiss brand's latest mechanical chronograph regulator system. Beating 7.2 million times per hour - 125 times faster than a standard Swiss chronograph - it works with a linear oscillator, defying the effect of gravity and thus offering higher precision and energy performance. Its asymmetrical case with the crown placed at 12 o'clock and flanked by two chronograph pushers in different designs creates an unconventional shape, while its dial - also aesthetically asymmetrical - features a wide opening for the wearer to take a glimpse of the operating beam/girder regulator system.
