On thousands turning out for Sunday's pro-government rally:

Bjorn Berg - I've heard so many bad things about groups like Caring Hong Kong Power and the Hong Kong Youth Care Association Limited, it would be great if the SCMP would do a detailed feature on them to answer questions about who they are, who supports them.

Yi Long - Isn't the HKYCAL the group that's protesting near the ferries in TST against Falun Gong? I loved seeing a pro-Falun Gong standing right next to them! It's nice that's possible.

Philip Ho - Our embattled Chief Executive C.Y. Leung should soldier on and get his job done against all the odds (from the dissenting forces) as Hong Kong was in stagnation under his predecessor.

On intrusive body scanners being used at the airport and new cruise terminal:

Harminder Singh - These scanners cannot be allowed to be installed in Hong Kong! This is a violation of a person's right to privacy. Current security procedures have proved effective.

Sean Niem - I don't know what's worse: getting strip searched or subjecting your body to radiation.

Louis Tsoi - Sad news for HK indeed. I didn't realise HK was subject to the same terror threat as the US and UK. Are these necessary?

On the newly implemented trawling ban:

Patrick Shu Wing-lee - There are always pros and cons, give and take, acceptance and objection. Someone must make sacrifices to help protection of mother earth.

Winnie Wong - San Francisco has regular bans on crabbing and salmon fishing to preserve these food staples. After each ban, the harvest is always in abundance. This year the salmon was exceptional!
