I guess that's all that matters to C. Y. - that Beijing is behind him. People like Zhang Dejiang would go a long way towards building trust with Hong Kong people by minding their own business and keeping their opinions about Hong Kong to themselves.

I'd be nervous if Beijing was behind me. Surely it's better to see the knife coming.
