Magician Avon Lee eyes record-breaking feat at Cityplaza show
Local magician Avon Lee Hang-chai is constantly pushing the envelope. After breaking the record for the "most teleportation illusions performed in one minute" last year, Lee will attempt to break a new record this summer.
From August 23 to 26, Lee will try to add "most costume change illusions in one minute by an individual" to his list of triumphs.
As the final performer of the Astonishing Guinness World Record Holders at Cityplaza, held by the mall in Taikoo Shing, Lee will also be showing some of his other tricks.
The three weeks of performances beagn on Thursday and will run until August 26. Japanese yo-yo world champion Hiroyuki Suzuki and a breakdance trio comprising members from Germany and Ukraine finished performing their stunts at the weekend.
Sweden's Peter Rosendahl will take the stage from Thursday to Sunday and show off his balancing skills. He holds the record for riding the world's smallest unicycle and doing the most number of skipping-rope jumps on a unicycle in one minute.
For those who want to take part in the fun, four-time Guinness world record holder Qi Xinghua - known for painting the largest anamorphic painting - has created a 3-D crocodile, which offers a perfect photo opportunity.
