Yo Bago is tucked within a cluster of hardware shops, but this hasn't stopped people from seeking it out and giving it positive reviews.
Opened three years ago by a Hongkonger fresh back from Canada, the popular little shop specialises in made-to-order bagos (better known as bagels). They areinexpensive, and the fillings and combos assure endless variety.
Made by an off-site bakery using the shop's recipe, the hot bagos come sliding out of a toaster. There are eight bagel flavours to choose from, including onion, spinach, chocolate, honey wheat and a small sesame bun.
The Great Canadian Breakfast bago sandwich (HK$45) - smoked ham, bacon, egg and mustard mayo - is simple but satisfying.
For an extra HK$3, you can get a poppy seed bago, while for an added HK$10, you can get a soup, a house salad or a drink.
