The summer months can play havoc with your hair. But don't fret - whatever the issue, there is a product out there to give your locks a seasonal lift.

Matrix's Biolage Advanced Fiberstrong Shampoo (HK$152/400ml) and Conditioner (HK$180/250ml) boast a new paraben-free formula of bamboo extract and ceramide that's designed to strengthen damaged hair. L'Oreal's patented Intra-Cylane molecule, meanwhile, is said to fill in gaps in cuticle cells, leaving hair looking healthier.

Sen by Kim Robinson Sleek & Silky Shampoo (HK$88/400ml) and Conditioner (HK$88/400ml) uses one of three formulas the celebrity hairstylist has created especially for use on Asian hair. The Sleek & Silky formula contains coix seed and botanical extracts, vitamin B5, milk proteins and honey to make hair more manageable, and has a subtle yet pleasant scent of lotus and rose. The other two formulas are the peony extract-infused Colour & Shine, which helps to protect and maintain dyed hair, and Moisture & Repair, which targets dry or damaged hair and conditions with the help of angelica extract.

LSnP's Volume Shampoo (HK$74.90/480ml) and Conditioner (HK$74.90/480ml) are said to give bounce to dull, flat hair, with rosemary extract stimulating blood circulation. It is infused with hyaluronic and amino acids, which LSnP claims help to moisturise hair. For a more intense treatment, there's the Moisture formula. Others in the range include Color Hold and Anti Hair Loss.

Mark Hill's Defrizz-ilicious Slick Chick De-Frizz Shampoo (HK$74/250ml) and Oh... So Smooth! De-Frizz Conditioner (HK$74/250ml) are - surprise, surprise - designed for people with frizzy hair. The moisture-boosting and humidity-blocking ingredients are said to calm, smooth and add shine to unruly hair. The instructions suggest massaging the conditioner through your hair then leaving it on for about three minutes. Other formulas include the volume-boosting Love Big Hair and Straight-aholic, which is designed for use in conjunction with hair straighteners.
