Beautifully packaged products are like mini-sculptures on your dressing table. Who knew cosmetics could look as pretty as they make you feel?
1. Marc Jacobs' Daisy Dream Eau De Toilette (HK$860/100ml) features an elegant glass bottle adorned with daisies. The fruity, floral fragrance opens with notes of blackberry, grapefruit and pear. Jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria take up the core, before the base notes of white woods, musks and coconut water wrap up the composition.
2. Les Merveilleuses Ladurée’s autumn collection doesn’t “wow” us like the rose petal blush from its launch range did earlier this year but the Pearl Treatment Serum (HK$980/60ml) catches our eye because the beautiful bottle reflects the radiance-giving properties of the serum within. Pearl extract moisturises the skin while hyaluronic acid- and collagen-stimulating botanical ingredients, such as bilberry leaf and fennel extracts, promote suppleness.
3. Anna Sui’s Loose Powder Foundation (HK$450/10 grams) comes with a gorgeous rose-patterned glass dome, which holds the purple, rounded brush underneath. With the help of the soft brush, which doubles as the lid of the tinted-glass body, the loose powder glides on the skin while the moisturising and sebum-absorbing formula creates a long-lasting, natural dewy finish. It comes in six shades and the powder offers a sun protection of SPF 20.
4. Christian Louboutin’s iconic red soles were inspired by nail polish. And so the cap of the shoe designer’s first nail range (HK$450/13ml) calls to mind an elegant stiletto heel. The slender cap and patented triangular brush ensure smooth application of the glossy varnish. The signature Rouge Louboutin shade is available and there are 30 other colours to choose from – all inspired by iconic Louboutin shoes or handbags – grouped in three families: The Pops, The Noirs and The Nudes (pictured).
