Chinese man treats thousands to free meal after shop returns his lost three-carat diamond ring
‘Honoured and happy’ visitor celebrates return of his engagement ring ... and the fact that his girlfriend accepted his proposal

A Chinese businessman bought 5,000 bowls of spicy noodles for passers-by in the southwestern city of Chongqing after recovering a lost engagement ring.
The Guangzhou native surnamed Wang travelled to Chongqing on Sunday to propose to his girlfriend, but he left his bag, which contained the 3-carat diamond ring worth more than 300,000 yuan (US$44,900)) outside the noodle shop after stopping there for a meal, the Chongqing Morning Post reported.
A local resident picked up the bag and gave it to the manager of the restaurant, who later returned it to Wang.

In a letter posted at the shop on Monday, Wang said he was able to propose to his girlfriend, who accepted, thanks to the kindness of local people.
