Hong Kong police and court bailiffs met little resistance in the closely-watched clearance operation on Thursday as clean-up crews laboriously removed all barriers near the Admiralty protest sites during the day. 
Meanwhile, dozens of pandemocratic politicians, protest leaders and activists have been arrested at the junction of Tim Wa Avenue and Harcourt Road after they defied police warnings that anyone remaining in the Admiralty protest zone would be taken into custody and face prosecution.
