SO many Chiu Chow restaurants tend to feature the distinctive windows in which hang soy geese, cold crabs and all sorts of goose entrails, that Chiu Chow fare has often been equated with only these dishes.

Perhaps this was why when we walked into Carrianna Restaurant in Wan Chai, we automatically felt compelled to order soy goose at the very least.

Carrianna has been around town for ages and has built up a dependable reputation for itself.

The night we turned up was a quiet one at the restaurant.

Although we had made a reservation, there were quite a few empty tables. As a result, the noise was at a comfortable level.

As with most Chinese restaurants, the decor was glaringly festive and the restaurant obviously decorated with huge crowds in mind because the tables were rather close together.
