Non-Bruce Lee worshippers (gasp, horror, yes, there are some of us) can be forgiven for being a bit sceptical about dining at a place called the Bruce Lee Cafe.

But with everyone from the fans to the Hong Kong Tourist Association raving about it as the only place in the SAR where one can pay homage to the late great martial arts legend, I figured - as entertainment editor - it was de rigueur for me to go at least once.

My dinner companions and I went immediately after a press screening of the new Jackie Chan movie Rush Hour, just to get in the mood.

Rush Hour did the job: after watching Chan and his co-star Chris Tucker tucking into a Chinese takeaway of eel rice and camel's hump, one of us was already admitting to a craving for Chinese food.

Not that the Bruce Lee Cafe is a truly Chinese restaurant; it offers a mishmash of Indian, Chinese and American dishes.

The restaurant is smaller than we had expected, with only about 10 tables, but it is comfortable, and tables are a reasonable distance apart.
