Lethal Weapon 4 villain Jet Li will marry longtime love Nina Li Chi, 37, at a private ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Friends, including Lethal Weapon 4 star Mel Gibson and producer Joel Silver are expected to attend the dinner and reception at Li's new 10,000-square-feet home in Hollywood.
Li, 36, who shot to fame with the kung fu film Shaolin Temple, has been involved with the former Miss Asia Pacific for seven years, although both have never publicly admitted it.
A Taiwanese friend of Li's, Huang Lien-ju, said recently: 'A good friend of Jet's gave him three pieces of advice: he should not publicly admit to any relationships, his other half should not be in the same business, and only get married when he wants to have children.' Li met his future wife in 1989 on the set of Dragon Fight, a kung fu comedy also starring Stephen Chiau Sing-chi.
At the time, Li was married to fellow martial arts exponent Huang Qiaoyin, with whom he has two daughters. They divorced in 1992 amid rumours of a 'third party'.
Nina Li, the 1986 Miss Asia Pacific, quit show business in 1992 to go into the mainland Chinese property development business. But she is said to have lost US$10 million (HK$77.5 million) when a development project failed.
