SINGER Jacky Cheung Hok-yau and his wife May Law Mei-mei have decided on a name for their baby girl, one-month-old last week: Yiu-wa.
Cheung says the masculine-sounding name is perfect for his daughter's temperament. Since Yiu-wa's birth, Cheung has been devoting himself to playing papa, especially since Law hurt her hand recently and has been unable to hold the baby - now about four kilograms - for long. Feeding, bathing and nappy-changing duties have fallen to the happy Cheung.
He is not just a doting dad though: he has also been busy finding the family a new home. The couple sold their old pad near Hong Kong Stadium in July and have just found a 4,100-square-foot place on Island Road for $70 million. The 1,000-square-foot garden should ensure Yiu-wa will have lots of space to run around in.
Here comes the son
ERIC Tsang Chi-wai's family must be one of the best kept secrets in the industry. The actor-entertainer doesn't talk much about them - but they do pop up one by one to surprise everyone.
For instance, not many knew much about his daughter, Bo-yi, until she appeared on a charity show with him. She is now a successful radio DJ and TV host in Taiwan.
Last week, the media had another surprise when they spotted a handsome young man - who bore a strong resemblance to Tsang - beside him during a golf tournament in Switzerland.
