An educational funding project, organised by a global information technology services firm, is inviting applications from local primary and secondary schools.
The cash grant project by EDS Techgrant also comes with an education tool kits programme.
EDS Electronic Data Systems (HK) spokesman Wil Hokama said a number of educational tools developed in the United States would be available for free to schools.
EDS Corporation Asia Pacific president George Newstrom hoped the scheme would nurture talents for their company and the industry.
'Some of these kids hopefully will be our employees of the future,' said Mr Newstrom.
'We're helping them with education, we're helping them with technology, we're also helping to bring up the workforce for all of us,' he said.
A group of students from the Yan Chai Hospital Ho Sik Nam Primary School was invited to attend the programme launching ceremony at the firm's regional headquarters.
