Model-turned-actress Maggie Q has taken a daring turn for a new film, Manhattan Midnight, directed by Hong Kong director Alfred Cheung Kin-ting (Her Fatal Ways, The Group ). Q (above) will appear topless in some of the scenes in the English-language movie which also stars American actor, Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street). Q plays identical twins who are unaware of each others existence until their paths cross an assassin's (Grieco) who has been sent to kill one of them.
Director Cheung was all praise for his young star. 'She did an amazing job and she was also very cool about the topless scenes,' he said. Q, currently being seen in the hip and trendy Gen-Y Cops, would not comment on her semi-nude scenes. 'We'll see how the scenes are when the movie comes out,' she said. Her experience on the set of Manhattan Midnight, which wrapped up shooting in New York City two weeks ago, 'was wonderful'.
'It was just so great working with an American cast and crew. And Alfred is such a wonderful director. He knows exactly what he wants,' she said.
