Jackie Chan cancelled all work to rush back to Australia last week after he received news that his 86-year-old mother was seriously ill and had been admitted to hospital.
Chan, who has been busy with Rush Hour 2 promotions, flew back to Melbourne to keep vigil with his father, wife and son.
His mother's health reportedly took a turn for the better, however, on seeing her son and his family, and the filial Chan has now gone back to work. The superstar has a busy few months ahead of him with cameras preparing to roll on the set of Emperor Multimedia Group's $400 million Highbinders in Dublin next month. Principal photography for his next Hollywood project, The Tuxedo, starts in Canada in September.
British actress Claire Forlani, star of AntiTrust and Meet Joe Black, has been confirmed for the female lead for Highbinders while Jennifer Love Hewitt is still in negotiations to star in The Tuxedo.
